Admissions Overview

The Master of Public Health (MPH) online program is designed for recent graduates or working professionals who are looking to promote health and wellness across local and global communities through public health service.

Baylor University’s Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences maintains the same admissions standards for our online program as we do for our on-campus program. Applicants to the MPH online program must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or proof of equivalent training at a foreign university, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

There is no GRE requirement for this program. However, the GRE is recommended for applicants with less than three years of relevant work experience or applicants who have not previously earned a master’s degree.

The program starts four times per year — in January, April, July, and October. Our admissions team accepts and reviews applications year-round on a rolling basis.

Application Requirements

All applicants must submit:

  • the online application
  • a resume/C.V.
  • transcripts
  • three letters of recommendation
  • a personal statement
  • a $50 application fee

Our admissions team is available to answer any questions regarding application requirements, however, they cannot accept submissions of application materials. All application materials must be submitted to our application services team ( Application materials that are not submitted through application services will not be accepted.


Applicants must submit a current resume or C.V., describing any activities, honors, or awards they believe will be helpful to ensure success in Baylor’s MPH program.


Applicants must submit unofficial and official transcripts from all degree-bearing institutions they have attended. Unofficial transcripts can be used to complete an online application for review, but before you can begin the program, you will need to have official transcripts sent to the Baylor admissions team.

Please note that unofficial transcripts must include the following:

  • Full name of the institution (no abbreviations)
  • Student name
  • Student ID
  • Semesters
  • title and grade received
  • Grading scale (if different than 4.0 scale)
  • Level of study
  • Degree conferral date (if degree granted)

If the unofficial transcripts submitted do not meet the above requirements, all students are required to submit official transcripts. If admitted to the program, you will need to provide official transcripts.

Letters of Recommendation

Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from professional references who can address their intellectual competence and potential for success in graduate studies (i.e., from professors, employers, etc.).

Personal Statement

Applicants must write a personal statement that speaks to their unique qualifications, experiences, and reasons for applying to Baylor’s MPH program.

Application Fee

Applicants must submit a $50 application fee with their completed online application.
